CELLULAR HONEYCOMB SHADES

Cellular Honeycomb Shades from Hunter Douglas

When shopping for window treatments, you want to consider all the options-what are the needs of the room? What do you want from your windows as a home owner? At Custom Window Wear & Design Solutions, we carry the entire line of Hunter Douglas window treatments, including cellular shades. There are many reasons we think you should choose honeycomb blinds from Hunter Douglas for your windows. What sets these shades apart from other window treatments is their energy efficiency. Cellular blinds are uniquely designed to combat the energy loss in your home. But not all cellular shades and honeycomb shades are the same. Hunter Douglas Duette® Honeycomb Shades are the cream of the crop for several different reasons.

Energy Efficiency

The unique honeycomb structure of cellular blinds creates individual pockets in the fabric that trap air. The air trapped inside the honeycomb shades creates an added insulation layer when the cellular shades are closed. Adding this insulating layer helps moderate the internal temperature control inside your home. Your air conditioner and heater don’t have to work as hard, which results in lower energy consumption.

Lighting Options

Duette® Honeycomb Shades offer more light control options than just open and closed. The available fabric selection includes various opacity options that allow you to control how much light comes in when the cellular shades are closed. You can also add the Duolite® feature for even more lighting versatility. Duolite® combines two cellular blind fabrics into a single honeycomb shade. Choose two different opacities and open to either or a combination to achieve the perfect amount of light every single time.

Every Shape & Size

Energy efficiency might be the most prominent feature of honeycomb blinds, but their size and shape versatility are probably the most useful. The design of Duette® Honeycomb Shades allows them to fit almost any window width and height. These cellular shades are also available in vertical applications for sliding glass doors and can be equipped with special operating systems for skylights. They also aren’t limited to just rectangular windows. Honeycomb blinds can be functional in arches, sunbursts, circles, ovals, hexagons, and octagons, giving you the option to add energy-efficient window treatments to your entire home.

Operating Systems

EasyRise™—This system uses a continuous cord loop to operate honeycomb blinds of any shape and size easily. The cord remains a single length and is affixed to the side of the window frame, so there are no dangling pieces.

UltraGlide®—This system utilizes a retractable wand or cord that remains the same length. Simply pull gently and release to raise or lower your honeycomb shades. This is an excellent option for homes with small children and pets.

LightRise®—With this system, you can raise and lower your cellular blinds by pushing up or pulling down on the window treatment with your hand. This system is also a safe option for homes with small children and pets.

Top-Down/Bottom-Up—You can open your cellular shades from the top or bottom with this operation feature. You can let in the early morning sun near the ceiling or enjoy a late afternoon glow on your flooring. It also allows you more privacy options.

TrackGlide™—This system is designed for tilt-turn windows and keeps your honeycomb shades in place when the window tilts open.

SkyLift™ & Simplicity™—These systems are designed specifically for putting your honeycomb blinds into skylights. Simplicity™ is for windows you can reach, while SkyLift™ is designed for hard-to-reach skylights.

PowerView® Automation—This motorized system offers complete automation. You can operate your cellular blinds remotely and even schedule them to open and close at specific times of the day. All cellular shades in your home can be operated by remote, smart home voice control, or using the cellphone application. Learn More
